Jim Ross Dancing? Stop the Show, It Can't Get Any Better
RAW started with Michael Cole coming to the ring. He called J.R. a Thanksgiving Float and then welcomed J.R. to the ring. The first challenge? Arm wrestling. Michael Cole stalled. J.R. won with ease. Cole said he intentionally gave up because of J.R.'s BBQ breath. Next was a dance contest. Cole danced with a scarf, J.R. busted a pretty good move. J.R. up 2-0. Last competition? Who Weighs Less. Michael Cole, 200 lbs. J.R., 239 lbs. Michael Cole says that he won.
C.M. Punk interrupted. He said Cole's time is up. Punk said that the entire Michael Cole Challenge was a waste of time. Punk said Cole's 15 Minutes of Fame is up. Punk said it feels like Cole has been out there for almost 6 hours. Punk said he will do whatever it takes to make the show entertaining again. John Laurinaitis interrupted. He said he was disappointed in Punk interrupting the Challenge, as his 38 thousand Twitter followers wanted to see it. Punk said screw Ace's Twitter followers. Ace made a tag match: Punk/Big Show vs Del Rio/Mark Henry. Cole then demanded an apology from Punk. Punk promptly put him in the Anaconda Vice. That segment was good for Punk bringing the truth, and J.R.'s dancing. Survey Says: 3.5/5
Mick Foley was shown arriving. He promised to make tonight a night neither The Rock or John Cena would ever forget. He said it was great to be back in Boston. He said the cheap pop never gets old.
It's Team Botch vs Team Unmasked
A tag match! Surprise! Kofi Kingston and Sin Cara vs Cody Rhodes and Hunico. Kofi and Sin Cara did two dives over the top rope to send us into a break. Back from break Cody was working over Sin Cara. The heels worked over Sin Cara before Cara tagged in Kofi. Chaos erupted. Sin Cara dove onto Hunico on the outside, but inside Cody hit an awkward looking Cross Rhodes on Kofi for the win. Basic formula match. Just average. Survey Says: 2.5/5
The Rock was shown arriving backstage.
Backstage, Santino was playing WWE 12. Then Zack Ryder showed up, they argued over who was better between Rock and Cena, traded some catch phrases, then Santino signed Zack Ryder's petition for a U.S. Title match.
Mason Ryan Is Getting Booed Badly at MSG
Vickie showed up. She said Christian is injured and won't be on Team Barrett. Dolph Ziggler interrupted and said it would be him replacing Christian, and that it should now be Team Ziggler because he is the best wrestler on the team and the United States Champion. He takes on Mason Ryan next. The match never amounted to anything. Ziggler got DQ'd after Vickie slapped Ryan. Morrison threw Ziggler back into the ring, where he ate a Master Lock PowerSlam.
Backstage, Mick Foley ran into Zack Ryder and signed his petition.
They Brought Foley Back For This?
Mick Foley entered. He said it's great to be back in the WWE. Foley said while he respects everyone opinion, he sees John Cena as one of the best performers in WWE History. He introduced Cena. Cena said he asked Rock to be his partner because he is the most electrifying man in sports entertainment. Foley said Cena and his relationship is based on mutual respect. Foley said he thinks Cena is one of the best ever. Foley introduced A John Cena "This Is Your Life" video package. Foley introduced Cena's Little League Coach. He said Cena struck out looking in the Championship game. Next was Bull Buchanon, known as B-2 when he was Cena's rap partner. That's when Cena was cool. B-2 said Cena was the best partner ever. He then ripped on Cena for becoming a big star and letting his life go down hill. Cena's dad was ten introduced. He yelled at the fans for booing his son. Foley said he had 5 more people. Rock came out, he Rock Bottomed Foley, and left. I guess that is Rock's way of saying enough is enough. That segment really did nothing for me. It dragged. Only worth it for Bull. Survey Says: 2/5
The Great White vs The Great Fake Tan
More Team Orton vs Team Barrett, this time Sheamus vs Jack Swagger. Even action before they went to break. Swagger took out Sheamus's leg then power tackled him. Sheamus fought back with a clothesline then some axe handles. Swagger tried to apply the ankle lock but Sheamus kicked Swagger out of the ring. He hit the Irish Curse backbreaker, then the Brogue Kick for the win. Sheamus continues to rise, Jack Swagger continues to decline. Survey Says: 2/5
Backstage Zack Ryder tried to get the Bellas to sign his petition but they were distracted by Alberto del Rio. They wanted to hang with ADR, but he said he had an important meeting with John Laurinaitis.
They reshowed Kelly's Maxim stuff. Then she beat Natalya with a roll up.
Backstage, John Laurinaitis was on the phone with Brodus Clay. Ace said he didn't want Rock to over-shadow Clay, so they will hold his debut off another week. ADR showed up. He said he doesn't think Punk will make it to Survivor Series. Laurinaitis said Punk will cause more trouble if he is WWE Champion.
After recapping the Survivor Series card, ADR jumped Punk backstage.
Maybe Big Show and Mark Henry Should Just Wear Shirts All The Time
Tag match featuring the Survivor Series Title matches next. Punk tagged in Big Show, so ADR immediately tagged in Mark Henry. Henry won a couple early tests of strength. Show fought back, but Show couldn't bodyslam Henry. Henry tagged in Show and worked him over with some kicks. Henry tagged back in. Back from break the heels continued to work over Punk. ADR hit a til-a-whirl backbreaker then worked over Punk's arm. Punk fought back with some kicks to ADR then Henry. Punk went to the top, but Henry caught him and hit the World's Strongest Slam. Show knocked Henry out of the ring, but ADR snuck in and got the pin for the win. ADR applied the cross armbreaker after the match until Big Show scared him off. Another basic tag. I think they did a good job of selling ADR/Punk. Survey Says: 3/5
Santino came out and talked about how he almost won the Royal Rumble, and how he will return to Boston a Champion next time. He sucked up to Boston. Kevin Nash came out. He asked Santino to do his trombone dance, then Nash booted Santino. Nash complained about not getting a job again, then powerbombed Santino. Nash will probably do this until HHH comes back.
Both Teams at Ringside? I Wonder What Could Possibly Happen?
Next was Randy Orton vs Wade Barrett. Both men brought out their Survivor Series teams. After the break Barrett took control early. He hit a nice sidewalk slam. Some kicks in the corner from Barrett and then he applied a sleeper hold. Orton fought out with a backdrop then his normal Orton offense. He was setting up the RKO before Cody Rhodes jumped in. All 10 men jumped in. Orton hit an RKO on Hunico, then Mason Ryan tossed him onto the rest of the heels outside. Who would have thought that was going to happen? Survey Says: 2.5/5
FINALLY! Someone Points Out Cena's Fans Haven't Gone Through Puberty!
Rock came out and talked about everything he did today, but he was still excited to be in Boston. Rock said the only problem with Survivor Series is that it is in 6 days and not tonight. Rock said moments like this drive him. Rock said he ain't waiting six days until Survivor Series. He wants to give an ass whopping to Awesome Truth right now. They came out. Truth said RAW getting rocked is a joke, and every time they are on the show, RAW gets Awesome. Truth was ready to fight but Miz stopped him.
Cena came out again. Cena said you will have to excuse his partner because he has only brought it via satellite. Rock said you will have to excuse his partner, because he is not used to having people support him that have gone through puberty. Rock said Cena needs to stop worrying about rising above hate and worry about his foot going into Cena's lady parts. Miz told them to shut up. Truth told Rock and Cena to have a blast, and they will see them Sunday. Rock and Cena attacked. Rock Bottom to Truth. Cena had Miz up for an AA, but Rock pulled Miz off and Rock Bottomed Miz instead. Rock left as him and Cena stared at each other to close the show.
Ok, Rock was typical good Rock. But why do I want to buy the PPV Sunday when it is clear that Miz and R-Truth have not looked like a threat during this whole feud. I know Rock and Cena can't co-exist. I don't want to buy the PPV for that. It was a good end, but I would have much rather seen Miz and R-Truth end the show on top than Rock and Cena. OVERALL
I thought this was a slightly above average episode of RAW. The action was ok. Nothing to right home about. The build to Survivor Series was just ok as well. I liked the Alberto del Rio/C.M. Punk stuff. They have built up Del Rio nicely in this feud. The faces pretty much looked dominant in the ten man build, and the big scuffle at the end is typical WWE. And as I said above, I would have much rather seen Miz and R-Truth end the show on top than Rock and Cena. Have a mis-communication between Rock and Cena end with Miz and Truth standing tall and looking like they have a chance on Sunday. I'm still watching Survivor Series on Sunday, but if I'm the WWE, I want people to think that Miz and R-Truth have a chance on Sunday. This didn't do that for me. I'm giving the show a 6.
And remember kids, your lady parts are valuable assets. A boot to them and forget about having children.

RAW Thoughts for 10/17/11
It's The RAW Main Event Mexico Fans Always Dreamed Of!
John Laurinaitis came out. He told the Mexicans Rey Mysterio was returning, to San Diego to see his doctor for rehab. So he won't be in Mexico tonight. He said he felt like he made a mistake firing Jim Ross, so Laurinaitis welcomed Ross back as Cole bitched. Laurinaitis asked Ross to the ring, and hugged him immediately as Ross no-sold it. Laurinaitis showed Ross a clip of Cole singing "Goodbye" to Ross last week. Laurinaitis made a match: Del Rio/Cole vs Cena/Ross. Why? Why bring Ross back for a match if there wasn't some stipulation that would include him returning to announcing? Also, the crowd noise seemed pumped in. Why cut a long English promo like that in Mexico? Survey Says: 1.5/5
John Morrison: Jobber to the Stars
Six man tag. Orton/Sheamus/Morrison vs Henry/Christian/Rhodes. Orton and Christian started. Christian tagged out after Orton tagged in Sheamus. Sheamus dominated before Rhodes tagged in Henry. On the outside, Orton clotheslined Rhodes and the two fought to the back going to the break. They were still gone back from break. Morrison hit a few nice moves on Christian before Christian hit a neckbreaker and tagged in Henry. Morrison tried making a tag after escaping Henry's bear hug, but Christian pulled Sheamus off the apron and the two fought through the crowd, leaving poor John Morrison with Mark Henry. Henry elevated Morrison mid-air and connected with the World's Strongest Slam. Ok match, obviously setting up two matches for Vengeance and continuing Henry's dominance. Poor John Morrison jobs again. Survey Says: 3/5
The Bellas made sure John Laurinaitis remembered they were important to RAW. Then ADR complained about his match later, but Laurinaitis told ADR the winner of the match would pick the match stipulation at Vengeance.
Girl-Girl Spanking: TOTALLY PG!
Apparently it's Eve vs Beth at Vengeance. But it is Eve/Natalya tonight. Natalya spanked Eve. Eve later hit a moonsault on Natalya for the win. Eve could win on Sunday! #sarcasm Survey Says: 1/5
Ah Yes, We Have to Get An Immigration Joke In on the Show!
C.M. Punk came out to a good crowd reaction. Miz said they did something C.M. Punk didn't, remove HHH from power on RAW. R-Truth said they can't stand people who run their mouth. Truth told Punk to wipe the smile off his face. HHH came out before the break to back up Punk. Punk took it to Miz early. Punk worked over Miz with some kicks. Miz regained control in the corner. Punk started to kick back, but R-Truth grabbed Punk's leg with the ref distracted. Miz hit his turnbuckle clothesline then axe handle off the top. Punk fought out of a chinlock with a backdrop. Miz went to the top again but hit a roundhouse kick to the mid-section. Miz threw Punk to the outside where R-Truth hit Punk with a water bottle. HHH chased Truth to the stage, where Laurinaitis met him with some immigration agents. Laurinaitis said to stop the match and that HHH had to come with them. HHH decked Truth on the way out.
Back from break, HHH was shown being escorted from the building, with David Otunga having a smirk on his face. Miz broke out of a sleeper as Punk fought back. Punk hit the Macho Man Elbow and signaled for the GTS. Truth's interference backfired. Miz went for the SCF, but Punk threw Miz into Truth, then rolled up Miz for the win. Miz and Truth beatdown Punk afterwards until referees broke it up. Both men came back, however, and hit their finishers on Punk. The immigration thing was a dumb way to get HHH out of the match and allowed Miz and Truth to look strong going into Sunday. But it is still stupid to have HHH/Punk teaming and no stipulation added to this match. Just very little interest from me. But the match tonight was pretty good. Survey Says: 2.5/5
WWE Network was hyped. They asked the fans to vote for the name of the WWE Reality Show featuring WWE Legends living under one roof. Only if Iron Shiek is involved.
Wait, It's Ryder Doing the Squashing???
Dolph Ziggler, Jack Swagger, and Vickie Guerrero came out. Vickie said he's considered a goddess in Mexico. Dolph told everyone they will never make it to America. Jack Swagger tried to sing the United States National Anthem, but was booed. Zack Ryder interrupted. He won a quick match with Swagger hitting two knees than the Rough Ryder for the win. Swagger and Dolph cornered Ryder before Mason Ryan saved him. Him and Ziggler fight after the break. Ryan threw Ziggler around. On the outside, Vickie slapped Ryan which angered him. He didn't break the refs count of 5, which got him DQ'd. He powerslammed Dolph after. Eh, Ryan can't wrestle but his power moves looked ok. Nice seeing Ryder get the win though. Survey Says: 2/5

Cole said he was going to wipe the mat with Ross, and he may just as well pin John Cena. He said his wife is Mexican, so the crowd has to cheer him.

Cena controlled the action early until Del Rio side-stepped Cena who ate the turnbuckle. Cole worked in a cheap shot with the referee not looking. Del Rio got some kicks and a suplex in. Cena went for an AA but Del Rio countered into a pin for two. Cena countered out of a neck grip into an STF attempt, but Del Rio hit a spinning backbreaker, then a kick in the corner for two. Del Rio missed off the top, and Cena went into VINTAGE JOHN CENA MODE. Cena went for the AA, but Del Rio tagged in Cole. Cole begged for forgiveness, so Cena shook his hand then hit the AA. Cena tagged in Ross, who then locked in an ankle lock for the submission win. Del Rio tried to attack Cena after, but Cena hit an AA on the floor. Cena then hit a clothesline and nailed Del Rio with the steps. He counted to ten for a second time. Cena made his match with Del Rio Sunday a Last Man Standing Match. Oh boy. Match was ok, but why would Del Rio just give up like that, knowing that he could put the odds in his favor for Sunday? Survey Says: 2/5
OVERALL
I'm sure the Mexico fans enjoyed themselves, but I didn't. I thought it was a terrible sell job for the PPV this Sunday. No further build to Miz and R-Truth vs HHH and C.M. Punk. What gets accomplished if either side wins? And why the stupid immigration side story? Cena/Del Rio has zero interest from me. How do you book Cena to lose Sunday. Someone better call the National Guard. Or Del Rio better get some immigrants from Mexico to take back with him. Or get that 8,000 Watt Surge Light from Backlash a few years ago. The best build for Vengeance is Cody Rhodes/Randy Orton. The wrestling on the show was ok but nothing to save this show from a lack of storyline development or a sell job for the PPV. Also, why go so promo heavy in Mexico? Clearly the crowd wasn't into the promos as you could tell there were piped in cheers. This show gets a very low rating from me: 2.
And remember kids: John Cena may only be able to count to 10, but Count Dracula can go to 11 and beyond!
I guess I will have a PPV Preview up this week. NFL Review goes up early tomorrow.

RAW Thoughts for 10/10/2011
Maybe We Can Get 2 Hours of Campfire Stories
After a recap of last week's events, RAW opened with an empty announce table, then a shot to a vacant backstage area. Then HHH appeared. He walked out to the ring. HHH said everyone walked out last week not on him, but on all of you. He ripped on the Solidarity Rally by all the walk-outs. Triple H said he won't quit. Triple H went off. He said if he had to, he would wrestler a broom stick for two hurs. He said the broom stick might give him a better match then some of the guys protesting.
John Cena's music interrupted. Cena said everyone protesting personally contacted him to join the rally, and HHH never did. But Cena said he is staying, because he loves RAW and his loyalty lies with everyone who loves RAW. Sheamus came out. Sheamus talked about how two years ago he took out HHH with a lea pipe, and instead of taking legal action, HHH came back and gave him the biggest ass kicking of his life. Sheamus said he respects HHH now. Sheamus said he didn't travel all the way from Ireland to protest, he came to be a part of RAW. C.M. Punk came out. He said he couldn't help but feel responsible for starting all of this. But he was making a point to a company, not one man. Punk said he deals with everyone personally. HHH said that as long as everyone is in agreement, Sheamus would fight John Cena next, HHH would ref, and C.M. Punk would do commentary.
Back from break the match was in full gear until Vince McMahon interrupted. He said he needed to have a word with his son-in-law. Vince said he believes in HHH, and loves how he is running RAW. But Vince said HHH also has detractors, not only the protesters in the back, but also the Board of Directors. Vince said the Board fears what could happen. Vince told HHH his services are no longer required as COO, and Vince said the Board has named an interim General Manager, John Laurinaitis. Well, they settled all of the loopholes from last week's show for the most part. Pretty much everyone who didn't walk out, sans Randy Orton, said why they stayed. Back from break, John Laurinaitis welcomed all the talent back. John Morrison said he should have been careful what he wished for, because while HHH may be a narcissist, John Laurinaitis flat out sucks. Johnny Ace told him he had a match next. Christian said the Board made the right decision. Ace asked him if he would face Morrison next, and he agreed. After the announcers returned, the match started. Christian made quick work of Morrison. Afterward Jack Swagger, Cody Rhodes, and Dolph Ziggler all took out Morrison.

Backstage, HHH asked John Laurinaitis if he ever picked up his teeth with broken fingers. In ring, Mark Henry recapped the happenings from Smackdown Friday with the Big Show. Henry said at Vengeance, vengeance would be his. Orton interrupted on the mic, saying vengeance would be his. Back from commercial, Henry was dominating Orton. Orton fought back, middle rope DDT. Cody Rhodes distracted Orton. Henry went for the World's Strongest Slam, but Orton hit an RKO. Cody broke up the pin. Orton went for an RKO on Cody, but Cody shoved him into a WSS. Orton ate another one. After Henry left, Cody hit Cross Rhodes on Orton, then put a bag on his head. Cody said cut the head of a viper, and all the venom goes with it. Strong way to put Cody over, presumably leading to a match at Vengeance. Not much of a match, but strong angle. Survey Says: 3/5
Kelly and Eve beat Rosa and Tamina. I'm not grading this.
Johnny Ace appeared! He asked for some respect. Johnny Ace made Cena vs Del Rio at Vengeance. Ace said that tonight, he was going to do an ethical thing and a moral thing. He invited Jim Ross to the ring. Ace said that last week JR walked out on the company, and the entire state of Oklahoma. Ace fired JR. Cole reacted like he had just lost his virginity.
Mason Ryan: A Face You Cannot Be
Six man tag next. Mason Ryan & Air Boom vs Dolph Ziggler, Jack Swagger, and David Otunga. Bourne took out Ziggler on the outside going into a commercial. The heels took turns working over Kofi. Mason Ryan eventually got the win for his team. It was alright in terms of action. I don't like Mason Ryan going over Dolph Ziggler though. He's terrible as a face. Survey Says: 2.5/5

Unlikely Allies: Double Time
Main event time. C.M. Punk had the early advantage on Alberto del Rio. He went for the knee in the corner but missed. John Laurinaitis came out and stopped the match. He said Punk and Del Rio will now be partners against two men he just reinstated, The Miz and R-Truth. Punk & Del Rio worked over Miz, then R-Truth. Del Rio later sold a "knee injury" and walked to the back, leaving Punk to fight for himself against Miz and Truth. They took turns working over Punk before he fought back. Punk hit the Macho Man Elbow on Miz. He went for the GTS before R-Truth stopped it. The two men beat down Punk causing a DQ. Eventually, HHH made the save. HHH and Punk stood tall to close the show. In the back, Laurinaitis made HHH/Punk vs Miz/R-Truth at Vengeance. Alright ending to the show. I don't like all the recent heat between Punk and HHH being gone all of the sudden. It was a waster of two months of storyline. Now they are "Unlikely allies." The action was middle of the road at best. Survey Says: 2.5/5
OVERALL
This was a show that seemed like they fit two weeks worth of stuff into one. With RAW being in Mexico next week, they couldn't really do all of that live talking and keep the crowd's interest. There is so much stuff flying around right now that it is hard to keep track of everything. Ace is GM, but is HHH now back on the active roster? Why did Vince randomly show up? Barely any John Cena was weird. The opening was good and a bit funny, and the Cody Rhodes/Randy Orton/Mark Henry segment was great. Everything else was just there, and Punk/HHH now being allies seems like a waste of the last two months of storyline between the two. I'm giving the show a 3.

After a recap of last week's events, RAW opened with an empty announce table, then a shot to a vacant backstage area. Then HHH appeared. He walked out to the ring. HHH said everyone walked out last week not on him, but on all of you. He ripped on the Solidarity Rally by all the walk-outs. Triple H said he won't quit. Triple H went off. He said if he had to, he would wrestler a broom stick for two hurs. He said the broom stick might give him a better match then some of the guys protesting.
John Cena's music interrupted. Cena said everyone protesting personally contacted him to join the rally, and HHH never did. But Cena said he is staying, because he loves RAW and his loyalty lies with everyone who loves RAW. Sheamus came out. Sheamus talked about how two years ago he took out HHH with a lea pipe, and instead of taking legal action, HHH came back and gave him the biggest ass kicking of his life. Sheamus said he respects HHH now. Sheamus said he didn't travel all the way from Ireland to protest, he came to be a part of RAW. C.M. Punk came out. He said he couldn't help but feel responsible for starting all of this. But he was making a point to a company, not one man. Punk said he deals with everyone personally. HHH said that as long as everyone is in agreement, Sheamus would fight John Cena next, HHH would ref, and C.M. Punk would do commentary.
Back from break the match was in full gear until Vince McMahon interrupted. He said he needed to have a word with his son-in-law. Vince said he believes in HHH, and loves how he is running RAW. But Vince said HHH also has detractors, not only the protesters in the back, but also the Board of Directors. Vince said the Board fears what could happen. Vince told HHH his services are no longer required as COO, and Vince said the Board has named an interim General Manager, John Laurinaitis. Well, they settled all of the loopholes from last week's show for the most part. Pretty much everyone who didn't walk out, sans Randy Orton, said why they stayed.
