The 5 Worst Booking Decisions In Wrestlemania History

And I'm back again with another Top 5 List. This time, I look at the five worst booking decisions in Wrestlemania history. Again, these are my opinions on these and some of you may agree while some of you may disagree with them. Go ahead and read along and enjoy!

5. Wrestlemania XVIII: Y2J vs HHH Going On Last
-This Wrestlemania was built around one match: Hulk Hogan vs The Rock. While the Undisputed Title was important as well, it just didn't live up to the magnitude that or have the same importance as the Rock/Hogan Dream Match. I am usually an advocate for the WWE Title Match going on last on the show. It is the top prize in the WWE, and it should be treated as such. But under certain circumstances, there are just matches that are so big that they should go on last.

It was the case at WM26 with Shawn Michaels career on the line. It was the case at WM28 with the Rock/Cena match. And it should have been the case with Rock/Hogan at WM18. Two of the biggest stars in wrestling history were going one-on-one for the first time in their career. It should have gone on last. By having it go on where it did, it took away a ton of heat from the HHH/Y2J match. Both HHH and Jericho have said in interviews that Hogan/Rock should have gone on last, and by not doing so it affected their match.

The WWE, Wrestlemania, and the Need To Look At The Long Term

Well, it looks like my post from about a month ago will have some weight to it after all. The results of the Royal Rumble all but guarantee us a Rock/Cena rematch for Wrestlemania 29. As I stated earlier, the match does nothing for me. I just don't care about seeing it again.

The WWE will tell us all that the short term results from this will be great. Wrestlemania 29 will be a huge revenue gainer for the WWE. Most people believe that it will be the highest grossing gate Mania of all time. That is fine and dandy. I still don't buy the idea that this Wrestlemania will have the most PPV buys of all time. There are a lot of people just like me who do not want to see Wrestlemania headlined by two PPV matches that have taken place in the last year. Wrestlemania is suppose to be about big, new matches that haven't taken place before. Instead, the WWE has decided to take the safe route and book matches that have already succeeded for them. It is lazy booking at its finest. Why try something new when you can go with something that has already done well?

5 Things I Would Like To See in the WWE in 2013

Its a new year. But can we expect new things from the WWE? Every year we go into Wrestlemania season with a renewed sense of optimism. That has definitely been the case the last couple of years with the return of The Rock and then the build up to Rock/Cena last year. This year could be more entertaining with Brock Lesnar and the push of C.M. Punk. But it could also be the WWE just staying the course and going with rematches of past main events, something I am in no way in favor of.

At the beginning of every year, I like to give a list of ideas of things I would like to see happen in the WWE. How many of these ideas will come to fruition? Probably not many. The WWE likes to stick to the same basic script when it comes to TV shows. Shove their top babyface stars down our throats and force us to watch them. It is reasons like that why we hate John Cena and are starting to get sick of Sheamus act. The WWE needs to take some risk and think outside of the box every once in a while.

5 Things To Look For By The End of 2012

There is just a little over 2 months left in the calendar year. While some might say that the build to Wrestlemania doesn't really start to around the Royal Rumble, I beg to differ. While you don't need to have your Wrestlemania plans set in stone at this point, you usually have a general idea of where you want things to go. That is why it is important to start getting there right around now. If done right, you can tell a great story over the span of a couple of months.

If you ask me, this is a big Wrestlemania season for the WWE. We know The Rock will be there, as well as Brock Lesnar. By the way, good job keeping up with storylines WWE. Brock Lesnar quite. Why is he on the Wrestlemania poster? There's some doubt, but I really can't see The Undertaker missing Wrestlemania. It wouldn't seem like Wrestlemania without him. Triple H could be there too. Stone Cold? I wouldn't rule it out, by I would make him the least likely to appear. I know his name has been dropped a lot on WWE TV lately, but he's rehabbing a bad knee. Add all those guys with the likes of C.M. Punk, John Cena and Randy Orton, and the WWE should have a star studded line-up. With the fans that always come back for Wrestlemania, it will be important for the WWE to try and keep those fans around after Mania.

The WWE RAW Truth Review for 10/8/12

It is another edition of RAW, but this time Vince McMahon is on to help bring up the ratings. Will it actually help, or will more people want to see Mark Sanchez crash and burn? Guess it is time to see if Vince is a bigger deal than the Sanchize.

Is That Cena or HHH?
John Cena came out to start the show. Cena said one week off felt like a year. He made fun of the tag champs and Antonio Cesaro, then asked A.J. out on a date. All really corny. Cena said that C.M. Punk stole the voice of the WWE. He said what does it matter how long Punk's reign is if nobody wants to watch. Cena told Punk to be a man and face him at Hell In A Cell.

Segment Analysis: So Cena came out there to bury the entire roster? Geez, great start. Survey Says: 1/5

What Tag Team Division?
As Cena left the ring, Ryback came out. They exchanged looks. Ryback is facing Primo and Epico. Primo drop kicked Ryback in the knee and Epico took him out with a splash. Primo back dropped Epico onto Ryback. Ryback fought out of a Primo head lock and hit multiple clotheslines. Ryback hit the Shell Shock on both men for the win.

Match Analysis: Primo and Epico have gone from Tag Champs to jobbers. I know they are at the bottom of the chain in the tag division, but it would be nice to not job them out completely. Survey Says: 1.5/5

What Vince McMahon Won't Tell You On RAW

Vince McMahon is appearing on RAW this Monday? That can mean only one thing: ratings are down, down, down. Vince has tried to cut down on his presence on TV in recent years. It is a smart move on his part. There is not a lot left to do with his character, so his appearance should be limited and sporadic. But almost all of Vince McMahon's appearance in recent years has been in response to a low rating on RAW the week before. So essentially, you could call Vince McMahon "Mr. Panic."

Once again, Vince McMahon will be around to deliver a "State of the WWE" Address. I'm sure Vince will brag about certain things like Twitter or Tout and some other non-sense that is good in the WWE. I'm sure there will be some attempt to start a major angle as well. But the problem is, you know the angle was hastily put together in the last week. That more than likely means the angle has very little, if any, direction and the WWE won't know where they are going with it.

The RAW Truth Review for 8/13/12

Can the WWE continue their streak of good wrestling on 3 hour RAWs? Will they give us one final good push heading into SummerSlam to make it feel like a big PPV? I guess we will have to wait and find out...

Hold On A Minute Playa...
RAW actually started with a match: C.M. Punk vs Big Show. After Big Show shoved Punk down early, Punk went to work with an array of punches and kicks before Show came back with a head butt. Punk tried fighting back after a Big Show slap but was taken down by a shoulder tackle. Punk tried fighting back again but ate a head butt and bodyslam. Punk moved out of the way of a back slam from Show in the corner and hit his high knee. Punk went for the bulldog but Show threw him away and hit a spear.

Looking Ahead After RAW 1000

It has come and gone. The 1000th episode of RAW is in the history books. If you read my review, it was a slightly disappointing show. Had it been a normal RAW with not as much hype it might have been better. But this show was hyped up like no other RAW before it and it just seemed to be a bit of a letdown. And just think, now the WWE has to fill 3 hours worth of programming with their own stars. They can't rely on legends to fill various time slots. The easy route is to just let their guys have 10-15 minute matches each week to help take time up. But we can't have that on a wrestling show.

A Look Ahead to the 1000th Episode of RAW

Hey, did you guys now that episode of 1000 of RAW is tomorrow night? You think the WWE would do a better job of promoting it. How will they expect people to know the show starts at 8, or that all the big stars from the past will be on? Or that the WWE Title will be defended? What is the WWE thinking?

All sarcasm aside, tomorrow is the first time in a very long time that I can say I am looking forward to watching RAW. More than likely, it will be one of the few times I look forward to writing about these three hour RAWs. The WWE will pull out all the stops tomorrow night. They know they will have a large viewing audience, bigger than normal. That means the WWE has a big opportunity ahead of them. Not only to give the fans a treat with the stars of the past, but also to keep new viewers around by showcasing the stars of today. I would like to see some actual wrestling on the show. Give your current stars an opportunity to show what they got.

The RAW Truth Review for 7/16/12

One day after Money in the Bank, one week before the 1000th episode of RAW. I would expect tonight to be a set up for next week's show. John Cena has teased a major announcement. I will assume it will be about his Money in the Bank cash in. Stay tuned.

WWE Champ to Start? Shocking
C.M. Punk was out to start the show. He brought up his pipe bomb promo from Las Vegas last year. Punk said he's beaten everybody in front of him since then. Punk said a guy like him would have never been on the first episode of RAW. Big Show came out and interrupted. Big Show mocked C.M. Punk's story. He said Cena was in the right place at the right time when the handle on the briefcase broke, and if he had one, he would have cashed in the contract right now. Punk said Big Show did what he always did last night, leave a path of destruction and lose. Punk said that is why he has the respect of everyone and Big Show has none. Show laughed and said if Punk left today, they would be over him in a week. Show said they both know the WWE revolves around one man. Punk said he is the WWE Champion, and Big Show is an over paid, shell of a former giant. Show said after he beats Punk tonight, he could very well lose the WWE Championship to John Cena.

WWE Money in the Bank Preview

This Sunday is Money in the Bank. The last two years it has been the B-Show PPV that I've looked forward to most. First of all, there are ladder matches. Ladder Matches are probably my favorite gimmick match in the WWE. Sure it is tough to come up with innovative spots after so many, but every ladder match the last few years has been entertaining. Second, Money in the Bank is usually the time when the WWE pegs its next breakout star or two that will be the next WWE or World Champion.

Well, even though I'm still looking forward to the PPV, my excitement level isn't the same that its been the last couple years. First off, the WWE Title MITB Match is full of guys that the briefcase wouldn't benefit one bit. It is simply a way to get John Cena on a PPV. Second, it pretty much seems like the WWE is already looking past this PPV. There has been more hype for the 1000th episode of RAW. One could argue that more time is being spent on SummerSlam than Money in the Bank. If the WWE wants to go right to SummerSlam or the 1000th episode of RAW, then why not just skip this PPV? Have Money in the Bank at SummerSlam with only one ladder match and give it more of a special meaning.

The RAW Truth Review for 7/9/12

We are one week away from the Money in the Bank PPV, and another great Daniel Bryan/C.M. Punk encounter. Oh, and that damn crazy little vixen A.J. Lee is the special guest referee. And we don't know who the GM will be this week. Is there a possibility that it was kept "anonymous" for a reason? I wonder.

C.M. Punk And Marriage? Hell Has Frozen Over
After a recap of last week's A.J. stuff, the lovely little lady came out to the ring. She said as special referee this Sunday, she knows her actions can greatly effect the outcome of the match. She said that it is very emotional and over whelming. She asked the crowd to help her welcome C.M. Punk to the ring. A.J. told Punk she doesn't need professional help and is in full control. She paused and started to get emotional. She said no one has cared for her and showed passion for her like he did. And she knew it when he kissed her. A.J. said Punk turns her on, and she knows what she has to do. Suddenly, A.J. got on one knee and asked Punk to marry her.

The RAW Truth Review for 7/2/12

Holla holla holla player. Teddy Long is the GM of this week's RAW, and wouldn't you know, he made a tag match for the main event tonight! At leasts it is a good one: Chris Jericho and Daniel Bryan vs John Cena and C.M. Punk. Hopefully they at least get some time to actually wrestle. Oh, and Brock Lesnar responds to Triple H's SummerSlam challenge tonight. I expect a pre-recorded response from Lesnar.

A Book Of One Liners By Kane
After a recap of last week's events, John Cena came out. Cena thanked Big Show and Chris Jericho for the beatdown last week. He said anything can happen at Money in the Bank, and they showed him that last week. Cena said he stands by everything he said last week, that he will win the WWE Title Ladder Match and become WWE Champion. Suddenly, Daniel Bryan came out chanting YES. Bryan said Cena isn't relevant to him. Bryan said at MITB, he will become WWE Champion. Bryan said if Cena manages to win the WWE Title MITB contract, his relevance to him is that Cena will become the first person to win a MITB match and lose. Cena said he can think of at least one person who disagrees with him.

The RAW Truth Review for 6/25/12

We are one hour away from another episode of RAW. John Cena is promising a huge announcement, which means it will probably be nothing like it tends to be with Cena. My guess is that he announces he will be in the WWE Championship Money in the Bank Ladder Match. I like the fact that they made the MITB Ladder Matches Title specific. The brand split is basically dead anyways so why try to hide it? Again, all I'm hoping for is something new tonight.

After a WWE Title recap, A.J. appeared to be talking to Daniel Bryan, Kane and C.M. Punk off screen. She told Bryan they have to be apart to grow as people, she called Kane a monster, and told C.M. Punk she thought it best if they go their separate ways. It was then revealed that A.J. was talking to herself in a mirror? Crazy chicks, am I right?

Skipping Never Looked So Good
After the intro Vickie Guerrero came out. She said that she knew she would be named permanent GM after her performance this week. She announced a triple threat elimination match, but didn't give any reason for it or what the winner got. Daniel Bryan came out, followed by Kane and C.M. Punk. Kane fought off both men early on. But both Bryan and Punk took Kane down with some kicks. Kane rolled to the outside and Bryan and Punk were left to go at it. Punk caught Bryan and delivered an inverted atomic drop. Kane caught Punk with an upper cut and then caught Bryan diving off the apron and slammed him into the barricade going into commercial.

The RAW Truth Review for 6/18/12

After last night's abysmal PPV, what could the WWE do to make it better? Well, who really knows. Your guess is as good as mine.

Have A Nice Day!
Mick Foley of all people came out to start the show. Foley said that as the Board of Directors looks for a new permanent GM, they would be reaching out to past GMs for the time being. Foley said he will be GM of both RAW and Smackdown this week. He made a tag team match for later: C.M. Punk and Sheamus vs Daniel Bryan and Kane. He then welcomed John Laurinaitis to give his farewell address. Laurinaitis came out in a neckbrace, arm sling and crutch. The crowd chanted "YOU GOT FIRED." Laurinaitis tried to quiet the crowd to no avail. He then asked Mick Foley to quiet them down. Laurinaitis said they were being rude. He said before he was fired, he made a handicap match: Big Show, David Otunga and Himself vs John Cena. Laurinaitis told Foley to have a nice day and left.

WWE No Way Out Review

Keep it here for my LIVE on going updates for WWE No Way Out.

There's apparently been a new match added. A Fatal 4 Way match to determine the #1 Contenders for the WWE Tag Team Titles: The Usos vs Primo and Epico vs Titus O'Neil and Darren Young vs Justin Gabriel and Tyson Kidd.

Brodus Clay vs David Otunga
Clay beat down Otunga in the corner until Otunga took out Clay's injured knee and started to work it over. Brodus started to mount some offense and knocked Otunga to the outside. Otunga refused to get back in the ring and was intentionally counted out. Otunga looked like he had something in mind.

WINNER: Brodus Clay

WWE No Way Out Preview

Hello everyone. There's a PPV this Sunday. But if I was a betting man, I would think this will be the lowest bought PPV of the year. I'm pretty sure I said the same thing about Over the Limit, but at least that show had C.M. Punk/Daniel Bryan to gain a few buys. This one has almost nothing. Are people really going to buy the PPV just to see Triple H cut a promo? I don't think so. Oh the job of John Laurinaitis is on the line as well? That's new and original.

The RAW Truth Review for 6/4/12

Hello everyone. Are you ready for the two hour "John Cena Variety Show?" After last week's rating, I fully expect it.

RAW started with a recap of Big Show's path of destruction last week set to the ever dramatic music that the WWE finds. I guess it makes it more serious.

I Thought They Wanted People to Keep Watching the Show?
Michael Cole was in the ring and introduced John Cena. Cena came out his usual smiling self, like nothing happened two weeks ago. Cole ran down the victims of Big Show's carnage last week and blamed it all on John Cena. Cole said it was more important for Cena to be a comedian than support his friend the Big Show. Cole asked if Cena was proud of himself. Cena said Cole still has a collection of My Little Ponies so he is proud of himself. Cena called Laurinaitis power hungry and said his goal was to get rid of Laurinaitis and then a new GM would rehire Big Show. Cole said that was no guarantee, and Big Show did what he had to do to get his job back. Cole said Big Show will prove he is the better man at No Way Out. Cena called Big Show money hungry. Cole said Cena was jealous of Big Show and his Wrestlemania win, and at least Show wasn't a punching bag for Brock Lesnar. Cole called Cena over-rated and belittled Cena some more.

The RAW Truth Review for 5/28/12

Happy Memorial Day to all my American readers. Lets see just how patriotic this RAW and Review will be.

Fi Fy Fo!
After an unnecessarily long recap of the Big Show/John Cena stuff from last week, Big Show came out. Big Show said he was happy to do his job. He said he doesn't have to smile and pander anymore because he has an iron clad contract. Show said he can do whatever he wants whenever he wants. Show said there is no one in his league at all. Show complained about Brodus Clay coming out and having fun minutes after he was on his knees begging for a job. He specifically called out Kofi Kingston and R-Truth, who he thought were his friends. He called everyone shallow and phony. But Show said John Cena disappointed him the most. Show thought Cena was going to fight and stand up for Show's job, but instead Cena made jokes. Show said he hurt Cena last week, and what he does at No Way Out will be the same. Show said No Way Out will be the most embarrassing loss of his career. And that puts a smile on his face.

The RAW Truth Review for 5/21/12

Another RAW, another Live Review. I must cherish these 2 hour RAWs while they last!

YELL! ANGRY WORDS! AHHHH!!!
They recapped last night's AMAZING John Cena/John Laurinaitis match with still photos of the match and children and women in horror.

John Cena came out looking pissed. Cena said he can't move on from last night and asked what the hell happened. Cena couldn't believe John Laurinaitis beat him. He called Laurinaitis a bully and he was finally getting what came to him at Over the Limit. Then Big Show knocked Cena out cold. Cena isn't happy with Big Show selling out. Cena said anyone would have hired Big Show back, but instead Show decided to sell out. Cena continued to yell and complain.
